when auto running a “open in coder” the required git authentication is not triggered
When I do open in coder and prompt for the parameters. Then the required git authentication is checked and asks the user to login.
Auto run skips this.

Will do. There is a lot of changes in the unreleased version. So I hope it is fixed in 2.9.0 or fixed before then.
Could you test on
ghcr.io/coder/coder-preview:latest it's built on each commit to main.Cool. I can use that for dev testing.
