That's very odd then. https://discord.com/channels/303681520202285057/969551680607776808
If you can record an example of what you're hearing, here is where to post that..
and it might be worth verifying file integrity to see if what ever bugs correct them selves afterwards and see if it still occurs....

No, this has been a problem with the last sound update that the next update hopefully fixes..
Oki was convinced that enemy foot steps needed to be boosted because of the average players poor situational awareness and them being perpetually flanked, so instead of teaching players how to be prepared for flanks, rotations, ect.. and for players to use their knowledge of a map he chose to try and fix this skill-issue by making the sound of enemies walking nearby really loud compared to your team-mates and this often makes them sound much closer than they are; they can be in a tunnel.. or running in a building the next block over sometimes on the second or third floor.. it really didn't work, annoyed a lot of players, and gave the players that were already good at the game a another tool they utilize better than those that it was meant for.
Thank for the explain but you may not get it. I hear metal footsteps like no matter how far I am from enemies. I may hear those sounds while sniping on sandy map in the mountains

Ok I'll try, thank you very much
instead of making maps with good implicit pathing guides and angles so that half the team doesnt end up running backwards on game start
