What collaborations throughout the years have been your favorite? Any collabrations you wish happened?

I am sure it would look goofy as fuck but I cannot shake it from the back of my mind.
Probably just burnout/echoing general sentiment but collabs were so omnipresent in the 2010’s I feel like I haven’t seen one I enjoyed in a long time
Seems like the main way people into clothing interact with collabs now is by having to scroll past them when looking for mainline secondhand

they do footwear, belts, jewelry, and bags, and this is basically a unique collab with Layer-0
others use Guidi leathers that they buy from Guidi as the supplier but it's not formally a collab
i think there needs to be a term to differentiate between two brands sharing dna and some fancy-schmancy brand doing a one-off diffusion line with a high street retailer
the fact that this ever occurred is mindblowing to me
people need to stop putting secondhand uniqlo x lemaire stuff on ebay as the designer brand OR price
what i meant to say is, collabs can be interesting and fruitful but a) i think ideally both brands are invested to make a quality product and b) the consumer is aware of what makes the collab special

Undercover x Evangelion, super cool for anime nerds with a couple grand lying around.
Undercover has a great many good collabs and also some awful ones
I'm currently in mourning because I want the BEAMS x New Balance 550 "Crazy Navy" collab, and I have been unable to get it so far.
What are some of the bad ones

Yeah, I think Uniqlo x EG could be similar. When I looked at them in the store, seemed like nice design, but not really great materials.

This is all Uniqlo collabs though, higher end designs with uniqlo level materials and construction
I'm not really a huge ALD head but I love some of the colorways they've done in their New Balance collabs
Was gonna say for lots of footwear collabs have become exhausted and boring in the past 5-6 years. Some tasteful products still come out, like the ALD NB, but it is less common imo
I think the only collab I have currently is the Blackstock & Weber x 3Sixteen loafers. Big fan.

i liked maybe about half of the ffxiv x puma collab shoes. i stayed a million miles away from whatever athleisure they might’ve done for it. i’m still trying to get one of the shoes secondhand bc puma sucks and i don’t want to give them my money.
All of North Face Purple Label is a great collab between North Face and Nanamica.

The Brain Dead x Magic The Gathering collabs are a favorite in recent memory. It feels true to both brands imo and not just a logo slapped on there. Also it was fairly priced for the MTG accessories (i bought the dice and a playmat)
I’m a fan of Supreme and I like when they collaborate with brands who make normal household goods (Stanley flasks, Heller mugs, Moccamaster coffee maker)
