VAN9003/Secure Boot Vanguard error
Hello, im trying to play valorant, but this error keeps popping up. I know what i have to do, but i dont know if its safe to proceed with changing the secure boot to ON (my motherboard supports it, other hardware shouldnt somehow interfere with it i think.), as i have seen a lot of people "brick" their pc doing this. So my question is, is it really safe to do so? [My motherboard is Gigabyte H410M S2H

if he doesn't have bitlocker enabled, he can proceed whitout any problem
alright, also, found out i got csm enabled on win11 and ppl are saying that it can also pretty much break your pc if you disable it, can i somehow know it wont?
if your instalation is on MBR it will not boot
but no break anything
well i got gpt (cuz microsoft requires it on installation, unless you flash it with some 3rd party apps)
You can check if you are on GPT (the desired one) or MBR with this command on Run window powershell Get-Disk; pause
okey nice
then you can disable csm and enable secure boot
if it doesn't work, you can enter again in bios an revert the setting
so, this would be it?
yes, on the rigth side says gpt
this only to check if you have gpt
Alright
Well, im gonna try to do it, thanks.

Alright, last question before doing the secure boot change, is it actually safe to do. ( i dont have bitlocker like you mentioned )
Its completely safe
Disable CSM first
Also u might need to restore the factory keys
Also u r on uefi right?
yeah
i was forced to do so
because windows 11
Hm?
Wdym forced
it requires UEFI i think
i will prefer if you first disable the bitlocker
When converting the disk image from MBR to GPT i was prompted to change it
Because it probably wouldnt boot if i hadnt done it
Yh i dont have it enabled (also i have never installed it)
Nope it doesn't
But yeah its always recommended to stay on UEFI
just tell me if this is alright
sorry, i read your comment bad xd
xd no worries
Yep its completely fine
alright
Proceed with enabling secure boot
it will tell me if i have to restore them?
No
Well, how do i know then?
Just restore them
It will not hurt anything
I will need to look at ur bios
alright
Turn it on
idk why the picture was sent
Wait
but yh give me a sec
gotta get into mine (the pic is from youtube )
just, wait a while
Nvm
im there
Here is my 13th ban
where do i go now
Id even know what to do now
Go to secure boot
And enable it
And send photo
Change secure boot mode to custom
Solution
And then enable secure boot
Then restore factory keys
Where do I even find help now :/
it says the same
so do i just press reset factory keys?
before enabling it?
Yes
:/
Whats the issue?
Also make ur own post
Save and quit
After u boot into windows
Show msinfo32 again
seems like its enabled
Ok its done
alrighty thanks for the help
Open val to check
And i will mark this as solved
i gotta update val
give me a sec
seems like it is working
Ok nice
