Did the tailor ruin this suit?
So just got back from the tailor to pick up my Spier & Mackay suit for a wedding this Saturday (one week). Tailor took in the sides and tried to solve the back bunching issue, and hemmed the sleeves.
I think the back bunching issue has been made worse. This was the most highly recommended tailor in my town and I just don’t know what to do anymore.
How can I solve the issue on the back? Have the collar lowered? Should a good tailor be taking measurements off my body or do they all just put pins in and say “okay come back in 12 days”?
How is the rest of the suit fitting me?

Good tailor should ask questions. Not saying it's your fault, but what kind of directions did you give?
I asked for her to take in the sides, hem the sleeves to the wrist to show only about a quarter inch of sleeve (I had a shirt on) and asked if she could lower the collar slightly to resolve the bunching on the back due to my square shoulders.
She told me that she doesn’t touch collars, but that she has solved this issue multiple times by letting out the upper back and taking in slightly the lower back. I asked if she really had done this with success and she said she had a client who had to do this with all of his suits.
Actually, when I picked it up today it looked worse, she actually took it back and adjusted it again at my request while I was still there. When it still looked bad, I realized it was just out of her skill set.
Is it uncomfortably tight? It's not ideal but i think it looks acceptable, especially given the rest of the fit is pretty good. One of the suit nerds can be more specific
How can I actually fix this? What does a tailor need to do? And now they’ll have to solve the poor looking seam on the back too. Sucks
No it feels fantastic. If anything it feels slightly to large in the shoulders but visibly it doesn’t look too big, at least I don’t think. When my wife picks up the back of my collar and pulls it closer to my hair it solves the whole problem which is why I thought maybe the collar should come down.
