Planetscale billing
Hi, on account of the Theo's video about Netlify billing I panicked a little. I tried to find a mention about what happens when Planetscale free tier exceeds but only with a little luck in FAQ saying "Databases that exceed the Hobby plan in usage or storage without current billing may experience degraded service." which does not really rule out billing, so my question is what happens when exceeding the free tier? Thanks for any insight.

Can't tell you about planetscale but i got spooked by that video too and shut down my hetzner server i use to host my webpage... don't know how to move forward now
hetzner isn't a serverless provider, I don't think you can get an unexpected bill from them
I know but I still have to pay for traffic out if it exceeds 20TB

With hetzner at least you can put cloudflare in front to get good ddos protection and caching
i ll have to look into that
thanks a lot for this tip! i set up cloudflare and since they provide all their ip ranges i now block all access to my servers ip except for the cloudflare ips (and my personal one for ssh and database access) they also offer free email forwarding so i even have a support email for my website now ^^ highly recommended since all you really need is free as well
