Sd card not working with emudeck and not formatting in gaming mode
Help with format issue
24 Replies
unmount the card in KDE Partition Manager and attempt to reformat it to btrfs there
I got it into btrfs format now
Actually I got a error
I deleted the old partition and creating a new one now
Then it throws a error when creating a new partition
Now it says btrfs
Should I just try formatting it in windows?
since youre using it for games, you should set permissions to everyone
if it fails to set a label just make sure you unmount it first (right click it in kde partition manager and choose unmount) then label it again
but it might fail due to sdcard automount at which case just dont label the sdcard
Yeah it still comes up with a error when formatting to btrfs
ignore the label then, not needed on sdcards and especially not on sdcards in linux the way valve implements it. you will be able to label any other disks though
alternative is to move the sdcard to a different system and label it there. but as i said, not really needed in linux like it is in windows 🙂
The problem is emudeck won't recognize the card
you can manually select the destination
I can transfer steam games to it but they won't transfer back to the ssd also
/run/media/mmblk0(or something)/Emulation
just make sure you partition it with the permission set to EveryoneEven if it fails its fine?
its the label that fails from the error you showed
Or gets a error I mean
because valves automount of the sdcard kicks in and mounts it before the partition manager gets to set the label
Is this a issue with all sd cards in bazzite or just my particular one?
all, its because valve automounts it as soon as the system detects it has a partition
Okay emudeck is working now
Do I just select steam deck?
yes just follow the install as normal
Awesome appreciate it
