Screen lock crashes, with hibernation restricted error

I dont want to call this a bug until I know if its just a config issue. Ive got bazzite-gnome-nvidia on an alienware gaming rig. Been working awesome for months at this point. Recently, I think after updates, ive lost the ability to lock or blank the screen. If i let the system sit the pre-configured 5 minutes to screen blank, it'll blank, and then seconds later come back to my desktop. If i click the lock, same deal, locks, screen blanks, and then back to my desktop. If i check dmesg after it happens I see:
Lockdown: systemd-logind: hibernation is restricted; see man kernel_lockdown.7
Lockdown: systemd-logind: hibernation is restricted; see man kernel_lockdown.7
A little digging in lockdown.7 man page tells me that indeed hybernation is restricted when the kernel is locked down. Yes I have secure boot enabled. The kicker is, the system is not set to suspend when locked or blanking, yet this error tells me that it is trying to anyway. no?
I am not terribly worried about the system locking when I am away from it, but I would like the monitors to blank as its on all the time.
If this is a bug, im happy to file it if one doesnt exist already. Thanks!

This has stopped happening... I have no explanation as to why.
