Question regarding moving from a different distro

Hello, I'm still a bit of a linux newbie and only started using it on my desktop after getting a steam deck. I'm currently using Nobara 39 with KDE which uses brtfs and has a @home subvolume if I understand correctly. Would it be possible to install Bazzite and still keep my /home directory intact? Or would it be better to back up my folder to a separate drive and then restore what I need? I'm sorry if this question doesn't make much sense, hasn't even been a year since I started using linux.
Solution:
Could mess up configuration files since bazzite & nobara do different things and deviate from upstream fedora

Sounds fair, guess I'll start backing up my files. Thanks for the answer :)
