Okay I’m trying to be a good boy and have my J’s direct deposits go to checking acct at bank 1.
Then transfer to checking/savings at bank 2 that is my actual daily driver bank. However, I’m running into transfer limits from one payday and I don’t want to pay wire fees. Am I an idiot? Or is there a better method.

Yes, stop co-mingling finances and have one checking account per J.
Then do a monthly transfer of x-percentage to a HYSA.

Right but I still run into the problem of 5k or 6k monthly transfer limits, unless my bank is just trash and there’s better options.
Ok I’m googling and my bank is just trash.

Yeah, you should be able to transfer pretty much anything to a HYSA. You might need to switch banks

Bank is trash... Big banks should let you transfer way more

How does this protect you at all?
SoFi took 3 days to transfer 20k and a minimum of 2 days for anything over like 3k

It’s about proper bookkeeping. It doesn’t protect you from anything other than having a good visual of your multiple incomes

@jack This stems from a conversation about companies having the ability to revoke previous pay from the spot you have connected for direct deposit.

Oh I see. I used to have 4 banks I don’t anymore.
Gotcha yeah. That makes sense .
