Keep the display on regardless of monitor/TV being on/off
Does anyone know of a way to keep the display on regardless of whether the connected TV or monitor is powered on? With my bazzite HTPC, the screen will go blank and not come back after the TV is turned off/on or inputs are switched. I can achieve this with an EDID emulator device but would prefer to not have to use one.

This has stopped happening to me since the last round of updates. I'm going to mark this one resolved even though I'm not sure what changed. Thanks!

Which Graphics vendor is being used?
If it is nVidia, you need to enable the
nvidia-persistenced.service
i guess, cause that's what happens on my desktop after sleep/resume if that service is not enabled/running...Sorry, should have included more details -- It's an all AMD system. 6700XT is the graphics card
I'm running bazzite-deck
👍
I guess I should really be asking for help troubleshooting the display going blank in this scenario.
I can never get the display back without rebooting when this happens. Any good place to start looking? I can't find anything in logs that I know to look in so far
okay I've done a little more trial and error, on this one. Usually the display comes back when I power the TV off/on with it in desktop mode ... but in Gamescope the display always dies.
Sometimes It's just no signal and I have to reboot, other times I can get to a framebuffer and ctrl-alt-del to get it back
One time when I tried it, Gamescope started fresh when I turned the TV back on, as if it was just booted.
(a game had been running before)
The behaviour you describe is identical to what is happening with nVidia GPU's on resume from sleep, but you're using AMD which uses different drivers, so i dunno... 🤷♀️
