Valorant Download

so basically i paused valorant for a bit and it reset from the start i was told that it didnt reset and the games size is 31gb im confused someone?

So for e.g it is a 10gb game and u download like 4 gb and had to close riot client which cancelled the download. The next time it will only need to download 6 gb. It will show it is downloading from 0 but its just it downloading the remaining 6 gbs separately
