This is quite an amazing technology. I first heard about this from my uncle who works at Continental automotive and then saw one team at BOSCH running some tests with demo car and crashes. This is automotive use case.
Generally, MIMO is a type of RF technology expanded as Multiple Input, Multiple Output which only means that instead of one Tx and Rx, there is an array of it. I have seen one time a 64x64 array of patch antennas....
