erm..
everytime i try to launch val or riot client it just shows this.. ive restarted my computer and nothing has worked
Solution:Jump to solution
Wait a sec, it opened successfully. So I tried to exit in the bar and I launched as admin. Idk if it'll be like this forever but it's opened for now, thankfully.

still like this after an hour now
i cant even uninstall it :v

There is prob a way to fix it without uninstalling
im tryna reinstall it right? but whenever i uninstall it from "add or remove programs" nothing happens
:v
this is really annoying
im tryna play π
okay i reinstalled it
and its still the same
:/
fun
Please remove the following directory:
(if riot client is installed on the C drive)
C:\Riot Games
And to reinstall from: https://playvalorant.com
So basically we need to delete the Riot Games Folder that the has Vanguard, Riot Client and Valorant and reinstall?
Uh vanguard doesn't count in that folder i think
That folder does not contain vanguard
ah I see
Uninstall using control panel if u want to tho
tried but it says I need to uninstall the game first
:Gekko_Wingman_Pat:
I have uninstalled and reinstalled it multiple times without having to uninstall the game
Can I just delete the folder?
@Saucywan does it actually work like that?
Yea
Wait
with control panel that's the massage I got
Just delete the game using control panel
Open the tray icon right click the vanguard icon and click uninstall
done
do I delete the client from control panel or folder?
will Valorant game get deleted too?
control panel
aight
this is what I get π
Uninstall valorant
aight
This is after I deleted the game
Press yes
aight, and then redownload with the exe?
Then go to the riot games folder
at C:\
And delete it
I downloaded mine in G
within another folder as well
delete that?
Yup
Like that one?
Yup
aight
Right so the client is opened now and I'm reinstalling rn. Thanks for the help.
np
Already don't that
Done*
though I'll try it again maybe I missed a few files
I'll let you know if it fixed it
@Saucywan It didn't work. I just finished reinstall and restarted my laptop but it says not found again π₯²
^ This?
yes
it's back
and yes my OS is Win 11 as well
idk if that effects anything :v
Solution
Wait a sec, it opened successfully. So I tried to exit in the bar and I launched as admin. Idk if it'll be like this forever but it's opened for now, thankfully.
Oh
hmmm
weird
I'll report back here if it happens again ig
thanks bro
Got it
So making it run as admin do fix stuff sometimes π
That's not what that means
I'm guessing it's just a weird windows install thing
Or permissions incorrectly set up so it has to be ran as administrator
Its prob a thing with their user account
Yea a permission issue
That's even if it being ran as an administrator is the fix
Hi I'm back. So i closed the client and when I reopened it it was the same error and I tried running as admin but it didn't work this time. So guess it was luck :v
I just realize this isnβt your ticket
honestly, I only started getting this problem after updating valorant and also allowing Riot client to access private or public network iirc.
And I marked it a solved
Oops
yea it ain't
can we unmark?
No
rib, make new ticket?
or keep it this way?
@KouhaiE are you still having the error?
Yeah
I'll keep trying tmr.. it's 2am
Huhu
Ok
π
Mannn I was looking forward to playing with the boys
I will go ahead and see what I can find
:(
It was working like.. on the 22nd
I got to play a match
Then that's it
I wasn't installing or uninstalling anythijg
okay so
ive done what they told me through email
but nothing worked
still the same
:(
@Saucywan do you think any of these would work?
Rip I can't send the link
sorry for the ping π
I'm trying to do this but
I have 3???
That doesn't mean anything
lmao aight then
I though I had installed Riot Client 3 times somehow :v
erm i have the same issue i reinstalled it and it worked but after a couple of hours it goes back to the same "not found" issue
This issue should have been solved
Just install riot client and it should go back to normal
There was a patch
imma try reinstalling it again then thanks
it worked for the first part but then it still turned out like this again
Ok, so I recently tried to ask Riot support. They basically told me to white list Valorant and Riot Client. I did that and it worked once (again). Then I asked again and they told me to send them my Riot Logs by downloading Riot Repair Tool. They told me that I have to disable my anti virus and so here I am. It's currently on but idk if it'll last, hopefully it does (yes I turned my Avast off).
So I guess it's because of Avast :v
For me at least
Hmmm maybe
Still don't know if it'll last but I'll report back here if it doesn't
Try

Hi, AxYEre.
Thanks for reaching out to us. I hope that you are doing well. Sapphire here, at your service!
I understand that you are facing an issue with Riot Client not launching with error.
First, let's try a few steps below:
Reset Firewall Policy
The steps for resetting the firewall policy are as per below: (Do take note that this will remove all the policies that you have applied previously)
1. Press the Windows key
2. Type CMD and run as administrator
3. Type in the following commands:
β’ netsh advfirewall reset
4. Once it's done, you will see OK. Message in your CMD
Whitelisting
The steps for whitelisting are as per below, whitelisting ensures that the system allows a proper connection to be established by the game to the internet:
These are the filepaths you need to add: (Can be different if you installed VALORANT at other directories)
VALORANT:
C:\Riot Games\VALORANT\live\VALORANT.exe
C:\Riot Games\VALORANT\live\Engine\Binaries\Win64\UnrealCEFSubProcess.exe
C:\Riot Games\VALORANT\live\ShooterGame\Binaries\Win64\VALORANT-Win64-Shipping
Riot Client:
C:\Riot Games\Riot Client\RiotClientServices.exe
Vanguard:
C:\Program Files\Riot Vanguard\vgc.exe
Whitelist Steps:
1. Press the shortcut keys Win+R to open the Run dialog box & Enter wf.msc and press the Enter key.
2. Click Inbound Rules (Left side panel), then click on New Rule (Right side Panel).
3. Select Program from the Rule Type window, then click Next.
4. Paste the Following Program Path given above.
5. Ensure Allow the connection is selected, then click Next.
6. Select When to apply the rule and click Domain, Private, and Public, then click Next.
7. Enter the Name of the program accordingly, then click Finish.
Repeat all the steps until you have whitelisted VALORANT, Riot Client & Vanguard altogether.
Also, please list out the solutions you have tried before.
If you have any more questions, please let me know.
Those are the steps they told me how to whitelist.
Then it didn't work so they told me to turn off Avast
I sent this here in case someone wants to try whitelisting
@AxYEre Is it working?
So it actually worked, I tried turning Avast back on and restarted my laptop but it reverted to error mode. I then tried to turn Avast back off and I was able to open Riot Client. Though I can't go in game to play due to hardware issues, turning off Avast seems to get Riot Client on, for me at least.
Ok
Looks like I already marked this as solved
Have a great day
Yes but again, this wasn't my question to begin with so, @KouhaiE how has your Valorant been?
Oh
RIGHT
Somehow I keep on forgetting
lol
LMAO ππ€£
it fixed itself when i
gave the temp folder administrator stuff
on the settings
idk why it didnt have it on the first place
I see
Cool
Then maybe people can try this as well
And yes, have a great day everyone!
You too
what was the actual fix?
i got the same problem
how did u do that
^ This
i dont think i have avast
i turned of firewall and the virus thing tho
nope still not launching
Are you launching the client as an administrator
yeah
neither works
what does ur compatibility settings look like on riot client?
and riotclientservices.exe
You shouldn't be using any
alright
aint working still
should i give my temp folder admin?
it worked one time, so i got to download valorant completely, but now the client isnt launching
ill try to restart rq brb
got any more tips?
i logged into a new account on my pc, and it worked
