Looks really good! My only complaint is the lack of dark mode while I sit in a dark room... It's simple, and minimal, but I think it gets all the information out in an elegant way.
How much do you get paid for websites like this?
Thanks!
He explicitly requested light mode, so I didn't implement an additional dark mode. Would be worth a try for the future though. Maybe a dark mode that automatically activates during nighttime (& for prefers-color-scheme=dark)
At work we would charge probably around 2k, but then it would be a professional designer who comes up with the design ideas and it would look much better.
I'm not yet sure how much I will request as it's a friend of mine and I feel bad charging money for it. Especially as I'm just trying to get started with designing.

Although the idea of it changing during the time of day is a creative idea

yup, I agree. But I doubt he is too keen on that. Especially as it means some additional work as I have to redefine the colors (bg, fg, buttons, etc) for it.
we agreed beforehand that I get paid. Mostly so that I feel guilty enough to actually finish the website and not postpone it month after month ... 😅
that is a good motivator
It's so clean, are you web developer?
Thanks! Yes, I'm a professional web developer. The hard part here was not the implementation, it was the design, as I never really done that for a whole page before.
I like the design (despite the lack of dark mode) and the layout is simple
I realized that you need to press the End or Ctrl-End button twice to get to the bottom of the page, quite strange honestly
that sounds like an issue with your browser, I can jump around with end/pos1 as usual
I'm using the latest Firefox version
same
Behaves normally on Edge, must be a browser thing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I now imagine you just speedran the page by clicking on the link here and pressing "end" immediately, only looking at the page as it zoomes by for a second 😂
When you press Control-End while it's loading, it scrolls to the very bottom. However, when it finishes loading, it doesn't go all the way down
This isn't the case for me
control-end goes right to the bottom of the page
yup. Has to be a browser issue, the website does not have any influence on ctrl-end
"it works on my PC" be like:
Well if there isn't anything on the site that has influence on ctrl-end, it's really less of "it works on my PC"
Have you tried other browsers?
