Are there plans to have a standard networking lib tho or the Modular team is gonna leave it to the community?
There are no plans for putting one in the stdlib in the immediate future, but it may come after the core language is more mature.
My understanding is that in the long term they want to implement native versions of as much of the python stdlib as possible and commonly used stuff like the socket module will probably be prioritized
I doubt networking would be a priority at all since Modular is mainly using Mojo to write high performance math kernels. However, given the stdlib is said to be open sourced the coming spring, people can contribute.
Yeah, I'm sure the community will get to it before Modular does
