Fullscreen Issue
Hello,
I've recently been having an issue with Valorant where it shows up as getting 200-300 FPS and works very well in windowed mode but when I try to fullscreen it, it starts bugging out.
Is there any solution to this? I've tried disabling fullscreen optimizations to no avail.
Specs:
GPU: RX 6800XT
CPU: i5-12400F
RAM: 16gb DDR4
OS: Win 10
Thank you!

what bug exactly is it
It appears to be more laggy; feels like there are less frames than being shown.
I'm pretty sure it's not a hardware issue, just an issue with the fullscreen.
haven't played these few days
have u tried verifying the game files
No not yet, let me try that.
and try previous or beta gpu driver
Alright, will do, I'll update after trying that,.
newest is 24.1.1 right, since I didn't receive any release email
Yup.
Dropped 1/23 I don't think theres one after.
Windowed works great, just an issue with Fullscreen and Windowed Fullscreen.
generally fullscreen exclusive should give u more fps
especially at win10 where windowed optimization doesn't exists
How can I check if Hyper V is enabled?
Ran
systeminfo
on powershell and got this, doesn't really describe if it's on or off though.^^ It was turned off, let me restart after applying.
Tried it but still got the same issue unfortunately.
win+r, msinfo32
at the bottom
"A hypervisor has been detected..."
then it's still enabled
there are something other than these
ugh like android blah blah emulator
etc
and the bcdedit
hypervisorlaunchtype value
Which ones should I have marked?
hypervisorlaunchtype off
and turn all the vm related things off
Are these settings what you mean?
for this one
bcdedit /setvalue hypervisorlaunchtype off
iirc
u can check by doing bcdedit /v
untick hypervisor platform
windows subsystem for Linux, vm platform
Done.
restart and check hyperv status
Alright.
maybe your game is locked at 60hz because you have yet to change that in the game?
How would I change that? I used to play Valorant some time ago and have reinstalled, back then I had no issues.
its on resolution
at the end it will say what hz its on
Alright, I'll try that too after restarting, thanks for the advice.
like 1920 x 1080, 60z
1920 x 1080, 120hz
etc
What setting should I go for then? I've got resolution 1920x1080.
the highest
u can use
^
select what your monitor is using
Mk, I'll restart in a little bit and give a report.
Tried both solutions, still have the fullscreen issue unfortunately.
play on borderless
That fixed it, thank you!
