newchannel filters
A suggestion I'd like to recommend is a way to filter newschannel messages by type.
the specific reason for suggesting this is i would like to filter out the community news posts, the fansite newsticker spam

tempted to replicate the newschannel functionality in Violent Bot just to get rid of the damn things
A good idea, although you would miss some "real" newstickers
community does include rapid respawn/exp event first dragon etc but they are news/feature article whereas the fansite spam is ALL news tickers so yeah you would also want a way to filter:
- news
- featured articles
- news tickers
yes, i meant some real ones, like announcement of double event weekend due to resets (which sometimes happen in newstickers), some lesser events like tibia's anniversary, etc
but in general you avoid 95% of fansite spamming, indeed
Finer control for the news channel sounds like a good idea. Definitely something to add.
