Network bandwidth?

What is the network bandwidth of your secure GPU servers? I'm looking for 1 Gbps.

It sure ain't that. To be a bit more exact. It lists a gigabit as the secure cloud upload, but I've never gotten that ever. The download may hit a gigabit in fairness. I wouldn't rely on the speed of the upload as it's not consistent. Sometimes it is decent (not a gigabit), sometimes it barely works. Edit: And I don't have gigabit internet. I rarely run into my internet being a limiting factor, but there have been a few times it worked well enough for it to be, so it might have peaked at gigabit, but it is not the norm.

the speeds shown are tested daily using speedtest

Yeah, hopefully that backlog item for documentation writer comes through in #🧐|feedback . I think even if tested with speedtest, maybe in practice something is off, and hard to know where; i remember in the past ppl had problems with the runpod proxy, or it was losing packets somewhere in between in the hops, etc. But I think a lot of people will essentially see, I should have X download speed, but when they try, they dont get it which is causing large confusion, or even just insanely slow speeds

yep we plan to offer more tooling around it, that was just me clarifying how those speeds come about

Where can I see the speeds for secure pods (not community ones)?

Every pod when u launch will have a little indicator of the tested speed I guess if u want now 👁️ can also run my bash script as a test to see and verify too

I want to know before I buy it)

Yeah I dont think that will happen bc it gets assigned to u when u start running, but in general, i havent had problems in secure cloud (which is the thing i mainly use) but just tested, u can just start the pod, and kill it immediately if u see something so slow

So u can just spin it up, stop and terminate it if u see a bad number
