Is there a way of forcing game mode to run at 800P rather than 1600p?
Having an issue with helldivers 2 where it isn’t respecting my resolution choice and always running at 1600p. When I select 800p in game it’s blurry because I can’t use the quick access menu integer/pixel scaling. Seems that it always runs at native res, so can’t use steams scaling filters.
Really weird issue, not sure the best way to fix it.
Either forcing 800P with integer scaling systemwide or forcing helldivers to render at 800P. Both seem impossible lol. I’ve tried changing my res in desktop mode but anything other than 1600p results in static. Probably because of the portrait screen, is there a way to add custom resolutions to KDE?

For int scaling, try changing the steam game resolution to 1600p, set windowed 800p in game, then toggle on int scaling or FSR in steam QAM

hrm, did you end up changing the game's resolution in steam settings at all?
you could force it down to 800p or 1200p in steam settings for that game, and see if that helps
note that this is in game mode, you can go into the game's settings and set a resolution

Thanks for the help Aru, I did give this a try already and unfortunately it didn’t work. The game still seems to self upscale to 1600p, so the steam upscaling settings don’t do anything. Thanks for your vids btw I followed your tutorial to get Bazzite set up and it was brilliant!

That did it! Just had to set the game to 1600P in steam, then 800P in game, then put it in windowed mode. Thanks mate you’re a legend
