How can I create a backup of my Oracle Server?
Hello!
I created a Server using Todd Sharp´s guide.
I have read that Oracle can delete the server and that I can restore it by creating a backup.
How can I do it?
Thanks a lot! And sorry if this is the wrong channel.

Connect using sftp and copy your server files to your house.
Looking into SFTP connections, I can connect to my server, but I cannot (or know) look into the archives. I do not know the directory and the correct url to download the data. Are any other way to see the data?
how are you connecting via SFTP
The folder that you setup the server in is the folder you'll bring back to your house.
like what credentials are you using
wait nvm
I am using PuTTy, and i did not setup the server using a folder
On your oracle server, how did you setup your server and where
e.g. if your server is in the user's home dir (e.g.
/home/ubuntu
), then the folder you want to backup is the ubuntu folder
if it was /home/ubuntu/my_server
then you would want to download the my_server folderThe problem here is that I do not know here it is installed, I am reading about locating the files and the folder
But you installed it.
I followed a guide, not really understood the whole process, sadly
💀
then look at the guide again
This is the guide that I followed. As you see, I installed Minecraft in a Virtual Machine that I access by Putty: https://blogs.oracle.com/developers/post/how-to-set-up-and-run-a-really-powerful-free-minecraft-server-in-the-cloud
Maybe installing something like FileZille will allow me to see the files and folders?
💀
okay, connect to the oracle server like normal and run
ls
and send the output here
Gonna read a bit about commands
Wow, that's a really awfully cropped screenshot
