Don't understand the difference between chinos styles

There is ultimate, original, comfort, and essential for style.
Then there's Straight, Slim, Athletic, Classic, Skinny, Tapered, Relaxed for the fit.
I have no idea what these mean. Other than the skinny/slim which I don't want, all of them look the same to me.
I will be wearing these with a plain black t shirt and plain white sneakers

The essential pleated classic looks nicest out of those, to my eye
The differences seem to be fairly minimal other than slightly different composition and fit. The pleats are cool though
