hass agent CONSTANTLY crashing after minutes of it running
i have been using it for a little while now but recently it has started not updating the sensors and promptly crashing (wont restart, having to close it in task manager) i have no idea what has/is causing it i have tried to do a repair install to no success and i cant find much in the log

Okay well first of all, obviously this is related to the other version. so I would suggest trying to upgrade.
But we can persist with some options if you really don't want to update

ok i think i just managed to install it the launcher was named the samer but this changed from 2022 to 2.0.1

So if you now do a restart, see if this one crashes
You can keep both installed for now

ok then nevermind still having the issue
i have no idea whaty is causing this or why it was working fine but now after some time it just crashes

Could you enable extended logging
Configuration > Logging
Restart Hass.Agent
And then upload logs next time it crashes?

Make sure you restart Hass.agent. if not it won't enable extended logging

this was the most recent one before the crash but it is dated 2 days before the crash (when i booted it up)

as a side note i have no idea what its doing with "printers" or why thats not even an enabled sensor (if it does mean the printer sensor)

so, I've to check the 5mb log file but in general all [FTL] errors can be ignored since they are there for debug purposes

hmm, I don't think this is the reason for the crash but are you sure you don't have any printer sensor configured?
theres a prtinter "connected" to home assistant (never bothered to fix it cause it auto connected and i havent done anything with it) in hass itself i havent got the printer sensor enabled
Home assistant shouldn't matter at all. If Hass.agent doesn't have any print sensor than those errors are wrong right?

ok i saw that the sensor was enabled but i think that what when i was trying to enable/disable it ill restart and look at the logs for a sec

it was doing it sinvce i first downloaded it and im sure i didnt have the sensor enabled then i didnt bother cause i dont do any printer things
But did it have that long of a lot?
Maybe that is the cause of the issue then?
If it is a small FTL error that doesn't matter. But if it's this long then something else is going on
its clean must have enabled it and not noticed it when looking through

maybe hahaha it was working fine for a while beforehand though which was strange even with the printer error running but as long as its working im not complaining hahaha
had a feeling something was off i have a pc standby automation that supposedly ran at 6am but i woke up at 9 with the pc still on so i had a feeling something was odd
windows update does remind me i have left this pending for quite some time but idk if its related or anything
just in case you need it the "idle timer" starts after 50 minutes pf no pc activity runs a 10 minute timer and then runs the "pc off" which hibernates the pc, here are the times in case thats of any use

What is interesting is that from the logs HASS.Agent wanted to shut down at 11:27
since i updated windows as of yet i have had no issues i think whatevers happening is something will fail try again and again i suppose cram up the log and itll eventually just crash, like the printers and the windows update but when i fix them so they dont spam the log its fine
still having occasional issues of the pc not hibrnating the autmations run the hibernate button is pressed but i wake up with it all still on? if it was to rujn during the dau it hibernates fine but in the night / morning seems to not run properly? ill send a log the next time it happens
if you can please also take a look at event viewer ("Windows->Application"), maybe this will give us some hint
didnt run through the automation again woke up with the pc on (looking at the traces the idle timer didnt even run it may have crashed before i even went to sleep)

already a lot of stuff happening in the log its not been open for long but its running fine as of yet
let's give it a day or so, if it'll still crash I'll take a look at the library's gh repo and dig some more

nope the only thing that has ever crashed this much is hass apart ffrom the one morning whwere multiple things crashed (hass didnt crash last night tho and ran everything fine so I'm am hopeing that the update may have hopefully fixed something or most of whatevers happening)
i am seeing theres a new windows update and im torn on not installing it becasue as of yet it is fine or installing it and it totally braking again (or maybe working again) who knowsss
I've got a similar issue where HASS just closes on its own shortly after starting up. Never had this problem with the old version, but since migrating to 2.0.1, it's been shutting down constantly.
I don't get the error message though, unfortunately. It just disappears from the system tray and sensors stop reporting in HA.
Could you upload your logs?

Yea, just had the same thought (because it crashed again) and went and looked... it's causing a stack overflow exception:

bad news after some pc hiccups and having to roll back a little i am getting crashes again and i have no way to explain this log

did it happen again with any popup error/other programs crashing?
no that was what i rolled back for had some major issues with several other applications crashing (operagx, discord, etc) did a roll back and they are all fine they have stopped but now its just: launch agent, some time passes, notice the sensors aren't updating, "sorry this application is not responding" or whatever then i reopen it and repeat
before the rollback it ran fine after i updated it to the newest beta update but its currently on that and its crashing so its not the update
can you check in the task manager what is the reported resource usage by the hanged hass.agent process?

i think it is currently crashed as of thaty screenshot no notifs are being recived and i cant click on the icon in the tray
its there i click it but nothing happens
its not actually running, sensors not updating either
i have to shut it down in task manager

late reply been busy but i did notice it was before it crashed at one point!! i foolishly didnt screenshot it but i would say yeah it does the memory was extreme
still crashing after installing the memory leak update but so far no other aplications have crashed (if that is related to the leak i mean)

Did you ever do any kind of "windows optimizers scripts" or other "stop spyware" stuff?
i do have razor cortex windows optimizer but that was also running during the period when it wasnt crashing but nothng i can think of other then that
