Redirect Rule to DNS-Only CNAME subdomain
Hello, I'm trying to use Cloudflare to perform a redirect from my apex domain (example.com) to a subdomain (sub.example.com). The "sub" subdomain itself is a CNAME record (DNS-Only) that points to another host.
However, when I setup my Redirect Rule to 301 redirect to www.example.com, I noticed that Cloudflare continues to proxy everything to www.example.com. (same IP over port 89) How do I prevent that? I just want Cloudflare to handle the initial redirect, then let the server at CNAME take over. Which I thought would be the case by having the CNAME set to "DNS-Only".
Thanks!

Was the proxy enabled on the subdomain previously? This might just be a case of a DNS cache still having the old value stored
Sorry, I'm a complete idiot. I just realized I had my VPN on my browser on, and no wonder everything was going through the same IP. Will delete this post, and go have a walk of shame... 🤦♂️
Working as intended without the VPN extension on in my browser... lol
