do one without hhd and without steam input
press disable steam input
How do I disable steam input
Okay without steam input the controller doesn’t work
try with hhd set to xbox
does your game support controllers?
Yeah
Seems the same
Hmmmm
My guess would be V-sync. If you look carefully at the windows video, you can see screen tearing
That was my first thought too
But he tested another controller and said it didn't happen
Oh, external controller? Hrm
How about on desktop mode? Is the input lag there?
I did try with vsync as well and while it did have a small addition to it, it wasn’t as bad as steam os but I’m all for trying to get rid of it
Let me try desktop
Okay I think it’s better now? I had to reboot after changing HHD to disabled and turned off steam input but let me slowmo check
unfortunately gamescope performance is mid tier
at low watts on the go for example you get poor performance compared to desktop
No fps cap in game mode, right?

There's been a lot of threads with hard data to show that Gamescope is causing input lag of 160ms+ when capping FPS below 60fps even without Vsync on. For anyone unaware 30fp...
Disable unified slider in display settings, and turn fps caps off in QAM
Not capping fps besides the default which I think is 60
Let me try
But if you're not seeing input lag on desktop mode, then game mode is somehow introducing input lag
I think it’s about the same on desktop mode
Not sure tho I’ll have to re check tomorrow
