Linux support
When will Valorant support Linux?
I wonder when the developers of Valorant will add support for the Linux operating system. I would like to play it on my Linux machine. Could you tell me if there are any plans to make the game compatible with Linux, and if so, when can we expect this support to become available?

nah it is for the anti cheat thing it requires kernel access and in linux you cant do that without some modification but i still dont think it is possible
It's possible to make a kernel level anticheat in Linux, but maintaining an anticheat of any form is extremely expensive (even on Windows). Before they support Linux, Riot would have to justify the engineering effort against the benefit of capturing that new audience.
It doesn't make sense for a lot of reasons. Not the least of which is the fact that Linux gamers are the most capable of just installing Windows if they wanted to play Valorant.
See 46:50 in this interview with a former Vanguard development lead for some of the reasoning behind not supporting Linux: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJ9Rfur-w-E
It's sad to read, but it makes a lot of sense given the costs involved.

We interviewed a former Valorant Vanguard Anticheat Developer...
@g0atmoth @Onepeg and myself had the opportunity to sit down with a former Riot Valorant Vanguard Anticheat Lead Developer to pick his brain about the state of cheating in games and the never-ending fight against it.

Vanguard for Linux already exist due to Valorant mobile for android i think , maybe separate queue for Linux and MacOS with TPM/Secure Boot and other safety feature like SIP in MacOS might work
I'm quite sure valorant isn't supported on linux
I saw someone trying to do it with a virtual machine but I think it's not possible to play maybe launching it
