Letting out trousers in the waist?
I just got a pair of second hand trousers. They’re 34 in the waist and I’m a 34, but they’re a tad tight. Is there a way to tell if they can be let out any or if they had maybe taken in before? Happy to supply pictures, let me know what to take pictures of. Thanks!

Take a pic of the inside back, showing the waistline and where your butt crack would be
Yes, a tailor can let those out
Do you have a feel for how much? And for my future reference what are you looking at — the triangles where the buttcrack goes?
The limitation is the amount of excess material in that seam
If you can button them but they are a bit tight, then you should be fine.
Sounds good, I have to suck in to button them but they do fit and look “fine” when buttoned
Yeah, you'll be fine
Great — thanks!!
They were $3 at a second hand shop so hate to let them go to waste
