when you are launching a dev environment
when you are launching a dev environment (maybe in distrobox or docker) what are the most common distributions you'd launch. I'll presume Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, Arch. What others?

for me those are pretty much the ones i do as it lets me cover almost everything
i primarily use ubuntu container for development since i know the package names there
i have fedora if i need to compile something for testing something that needs to run on host
i dont do dev work in arch though 🤔
thank you @HikariKnight
i guess i would do bleeding edge dev in arch if i had to but i dont need to since 80-90% of my target systems are ubuntu/debian
also np
RHEL, but I think I'm in the minority on that one.
And CentOS stream.
for me its custom images based on ubuntu or fedora
none, because nix devshells, which is the only correct answer

Alpine
I only launch Fedora and Debian
