Overcharged for Pod.
I had a pod running at a fee of $0.34 per hour.
I stopped the pod but was still charged the full fee instead of the reduced rate and it consumed all my balance.
How can this be resolved and have my balance refunded?

I had the same issue. $9 charges when I was not using it. My solution was to delete the POD and just create another one when I need to. Not sure if that is the best way, but..... It's the only option I've found. $9 in idle fees for non-use is a ripoff IMHO.
RunPod makes it pretty clear that you are charged for disk while the pod is stopped. It is even highlighted in red, I don't know how they can make it any more clear if you choose to ignore it. Its not a ripoff, its to help you keep your storage peristed while the pod is off. Storage comes at a cost, its not free, so I don't know how you expect not to be charged for it, thats unreasonable. If you don't want to be charged for storage while the pod is stopped, simply terminate it, the decision is yours, not RunPod's.
I'm by no means unhappy but I was a new user and the instructions were not clear. I don't give a shit about the nine dollars as a whole I just am looking to know how to stop the charges when it's not being used that's it.
And now I know, so no more response is needed. Thank you.
Yeah you can stop the charges by clicking the terminate button on the pod.
That's exactly what I wound up doing
you can also create a network volume and use that if you customize a pod for example. A lot cheaper than pods 🙂
