If your using opera gx go to settings and make sure you make your defualt browser anything else and then try
You can change it back to opera gx after again
This is what I did and it ended up working for me

this sometimes can be dns issues
or its really down

change ur dns
and flush dns cache
in cmd,
ipconfig /flushdns
I talked to valorant support and they said this:
"Try disabling your AdBlocker and clear the cache and cookies of your main browser (Chrome, Mozilla, etc.)
Try disabling any plug-ins or extensions from the browser.
If the issue persists, use a different browser from the one you originally were using. For most people, that means instead of Chrome, you're going to want to use Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Safari, Firefox, etc. in incognito mode (most preferably use Microsoft Edge in Safe mode).
This has fixed the issue in most cases, so fingers crossed! If it doesn't seem to work at first, it's also not a bad idea to try on a different device altogether, if that's an option for you.
Try not using your Google Account login to access the settings."
