There are so many names for things it's hard to gauge which one is which and what to look for.

Are you asking for a guide so you can tell the difference between jackets and pants? Or is there more to this?

There are certain jackets and pants I like, but I don't know the names of them. If there was a web page or a video that showed examples of each thing and its name that would help me identify, I would be able to research better

Depends a lot on what they're made of, but the original military ones were used in the jungle and ok for hot weather.
