Can a fetch in extension ( CSUI React) handled by website's service worker ?

The Plasmo messaging API is a powerful tool for sending real-time messages between different parts of your extension.
I am using plasmo to build a extension for a webpage with has service worker to handle all fetch request. The extension use s https://docs.plasmo.com/framework/content-scripts-ui to mountin React components (a button) into the current webpage, when the button is clicked, it fetches some network resources. And I wish the fetch can also be handled by the webpage's service worker. I think plasmo messging is not suitable for this situation.
