@antheas might need your assistance on this one if you have time
Sure, which crashes and reboots
The scroll wheel is just a scroll wheel
@Deek a log of the crash would be helpful if you can grab one
and maybe a video
I know for a fact scrolling works fine in deck-gnome
so it has to be something unique
Seems to be working now...
It crashed the first two times on both devices
Where can I find the logs?
depends on what crashed, was it the entire GNOME session?
i think so, it froze, turned black, then showed the bazzite logo and said "verifying installation" or something like that
yeah full shell crash
dmesg | fpaste
may show it
just run that after your next crash, should it happen againi just tested the scrollwheel and im surprised to say i did not break it
because i never test it
but its just a scroll wheel

sure enoughI didn't report it with the first device because I thought it was just a random crash. Then I set up a second device today and it crashed with the scroll wheel as well, but now it's working perfectly on both
Ok so
I will say I don't know why
But I'm getting periodic crashes both on my work computer and legion go
Using gnome on wayland
I also get a loading icon sometimes when I hover over the desktop
I have kind of accepted it as part of life
I'm using arch installed the same way on both computers but 2 years apart
Timestamp checks out
we also don't touch mutter other than to add vrr support to it
so this is likely something upstream
good news is Fedora is usually quick to update, so whatever this is I'd expect it to get resolved soon
Not a big deal though, also not reproducible for me atm as it seems to have fixed itself
What app were you scrolling when crashed?
1st app was firefox, 2nd time I tried scrolling in desktop without anything open
Vivaldi loves to crash when I close windows around a quarter of the time
Okay it's back, I managed to crash it 3 times in a row

Still happening, I think it triggers if I use the scroll wheel shortly after a fresh reboot
Works fine if the device has been on for a while
