Nice. Suddenly I’m blanking on what I’d want to add right now haha
where are the motd tips displayed? or rather, what is the syntax for them to be displayed properly?
I was cleaning them up to look nice for github but then I realized that these are going into the OS itself
Right now it's a script in profile.d which means you won't see them with fish
I'll fix that up soon
i just jumped back to bash to mess around with stuff
You can manually call /usr/libexec/ublue-motd
From fish
Did you have a lutris guide that you were giving people in the steam deck discord?
I distinctly recall that but I can't find it
I had that one that I used for Diablo 4: https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/comments/11tv6ro/diablo_iv_lutris_configuration/
there is a link to a small imgur album
Awesome, thank you

love this change
linked to a bunch of your articles

ProtonUp-Qt can be used to install and update custom versions of Proton. We recommend Proton-GE for problematic Steam games and Wine-GE for all other use cases outside of Steam.
thanks!
one way or another I am gonna get people to understand this shit
that will still require users to open the terminal once
lol
which they will because this is linux
I am still trying to get this through to askers on the Heroic server
because the LoL build is unfortunately numbered 8-27, it appears after Wine-GE-latest and before Wine-GE-8-25 (actual latest)
so people use 8-27-LoL wayyyy too often
LoL
There are things I want to add as MOTDs, but I know they play out better in my head than written out
"No, Fortnite will not work in Linux. Stop asking."
"Don't listen to the Game Mode changelog's lies."

some of the tips from this documentation or link this documentation? it's a mess of a document and is literally a "idk where else to put any of this nor do i know the relevance of it" doc.
but someone made a help thread which can be answered on the doc: https://discord.com/channels/1072614816579063828/1201701996277801040
basically, feel free to steal anything here that is worth talking about, and ill try to think of things worth adding to the MOTD
