collecting all your grails is fun until you run out of closet space. How do you store/organize your jawns?

fold t-shirts, hang shirts and outerwear. I also hang pants where i just fold them onto a normal hanger, but i switch it out when it gets hotter/cooler to my other rotation. used to organize things by designer by now just do it by color.

Last time this topic was brought up I got so much positive feedback for my "Pile on the Floor" method that ive since graduated to a "Thrown into Several Plastic Bins with Loose Themes" and "Pile on a Shelf" method

downsized the fuck out of my wardrobe so now i can get away with just basically hanging all my pants/sweats on a rack and not take from my storage much

Wait for my ex to get her stuff out of the house so I then have access to twice the closet and drawer space. Its a foolproof method guys

I tried to make use of the dead space I had under the eaves to do an open air clothes rail. Jeans & trousers go in a sliding drawer underneath, and I have a big chest of drawers for socks & underwear and workout stuff etc.

The real problem is where to keep all my shoes and boots...

I hang a lot of stuff too. This is tangential, but has anyone stretched out a garment from hanging it too long, then had success fixing the wavy neck that it causes?

I haven't had that issue, but what I do when I want to hang a sweater or a t-shirt is typically I'll fold it onto the hanger

I've been doing the fold like an envelope thing with jeans, 5-pocket pants, and shorts, to get more of them into drawers and actually see all the options without digging.

I got a system for my pants/jeans with white and black hangers. All the pants are on black hangers on the left side of the closet and and all the white hangers are immediately to the right of them, and every time I wear one set of pants I just move it over one white hanger from where it was before. That way I can track how many days I've worn each one since it was last washed without having to like, write it down or mentally track it all

Underwear has its own spot, socks are arranged by type (sport, dress, boot) and in order of thickness. Knits and tees are folded and arranged by color. Jeans are on S Hooks from light to dark, trousers on hangers from light to dark, button shirts on hangers by color from light to dark, tailoring is then from light to dark. Coats and jackets have their own closet by type and then color. Two shoe racks arranged by type and then color from light to dark.
