Anime's role in revamping Superman! Anime's shoujo and shounen elements have pumped new life into Superman's original imagery, making him a softer, steadfast hero for the people. 
Growing up with Bruce Timm's rendition of Superman, the author found the Man of Steel to be the super-hero packed with the mightiest weapons, biggest shields, and a heart full of love. While he adored Batman, he didn't look away from Superman's mighty words and deeds. 
Superman as everyone's shield! Even though he's the toughest hitter among his comrades, he thinks of himself as a shield that takes blows to protect others – a real hero attitude!
