win+r, tpm.msc
I honestly forgot tpm.msc was a thing... I'm getting old... too fast 😦
Enabling TPM through Windows settings:
1. Press Windows Key + R or select Start > Run.
2. Type "tpm.msc" (without quotes) and press Enter.
3. If you see a message stating "Compatible TPM cannot be found," your PC might have a disabled TPM. Click "How to enable TPM" for further instructions.
Otherwise, you'll see the TPM Management window. Look under TPM Manufacturer Information for the Specification Version. If it's 2.0 or higher, your TPM is already enabled.
Enabling TPM through BIOS:
1. Restart your computer.
2. As soon as the manufacturer's logo appears, press the required key to enter BIOS setup. This key varies depending on the manufacturer, but it's usually F10, F2, Del, or Esc.
3. Once in BIOS, navigate to the Security tab or section. The exact wording might differ among manufacturers.
4. Look for settings related to TPM or Trusted Platform Module. It might be under Intel Platform Trust Technology or Firmware TPM.
5. Change the TPM setting to Enabled or On.
6. Save your changes and exit BIOS setup. Your computer will restart.
Best of luck to you, hopefully an easy fix! 🙂
