Opinions on store checkers
How are there so many valorant store checking Discord bots for so long now? I can count at least 5 in the discord app directory some being used in like 50k servers and there are probably 10 more huge ones out there
I know two of my dumbass friends a while back who got their account stolen, and they were the only ones who have used these discord bots and now their account has gotten banned because of third party scripts application something after playing games they dont recognise
I'm just really pissed because I liked playing the game with those two friends but now I don't really want to play the game anymore because they don't want to play and haven't played since then
I already made tickets long ago to Discord and Riot Games, which Discord has still been ghosting me for 7+ WHOLE MONTHS, and Riot Games said they will investigate but the same bots still are working, and I'm sure I am not the only one either
maybe they entered their username and password into other dumb things that got their account stolen idk but these bots they definitely did, how are they still on discord and not taken down

i have no idea what if anything Riot can do on our end. i don't know if we are able to ask Discord to take them down and if we do ask, i don't know if Discord does anything, but there is certainly nothing we can do directly.
yes, it sucks, and this is why in our TOS is says it is against the terms to use anything like this, and why in our player support articles about keeping your account safe it says never to enter your creds anywhere but in the game or on our website, and why in our player support article about third party apps it says they are all use at your own risk.
we do what we can to warn players, but we can't stop them from making their own choices.
