can a freends subdomain work with a cloudflare pages

You donβt have to use Cloudflare to have a custom domain with Pages. However, it wonβt work on the apex domain without being on Cloudflare.

Youβd need to do a CNAME record and it would be the pages.dev subdomain of your project

The destination is the pages.dev and the subdomain is what you want users to visit
but could it be zypher.site? the domain i have?
No because thatβs the apex so it doesnβt work outside of Cloudflare. Youβd need www.zypher.site and youβd set the dns everywhere you set the dns records for you zone
