I cant play ranked with my duo

Me and my duo are both unranked cause we haven't played and we wanted to play the 5 rankeds to get rank but we played the first one and now it says that the skill difference is too big and we cant play but we are unranked, in the past act i was diamond 1 and he was plat 1 so idk why it would let us play

It sucks that the game does this, but trying to solve the problem will just make matches unbalanced for everyone. You could just stick to unrated and other game modes.
