@saucywan
@_sirivan During your troubleshooting, did you uninstall and re-install valorant?
^
Yes
Can you make sure your GPU drivers are updated and active?
win + x
-> Device Manager -> Display adapters -> Update Drivers or Enable DriversOkay
It just says NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060
When I click it everything says "This Device is working properly"
Just pressed Update Drivers, it says best driver for device already installed
are u using device manager or geforce experience?
Geforce
try running as admin
Done, still doesn't seem to be opening
@_sirivan you fix it yet?
No, ntg seems to be working
thats weird.. dm me and well see if i can help fix
Okay can give me 15-20 minutes, my apologies
no worries man dont stress
Okay ty ty
@saucywan is this safe?
Hm
Now thatβs sus
No.
@domotre What are you sending people?
@saucywan I had this issue before about valo not launching. Last time it was because something is blocking it which was an antivirus. Could you tell me what are some things that prevent
Sorry, but I cant help rn. I'm in bed as its 2:20 AM. I got up because of the ping
But turn off your antivirus and add valorant / riot client and vanguard to be allowed thought firewall list
Here is an easy way to add it to it to the firewall
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="Valorant_Inbound" dir="in" action="allow" program="C:\Riot Games\VALORANT\live\ShooterGame\Binaries\Win64\VALORANT-Win64-Shipping .exe" enable="yes"
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="Valorant_Outbound" dir="out" action="allow" program="C:\Riot Games\VALORANT\live\ShooterGame\Binaries\Win64\VALORANT-Win64-Shipping. exe" enable="yes"
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="RiotClient_Inbound" dir="in" action="allow" program="C:\Riot Games\Riot Client\RiotClientServices .exe" enable="yes"
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="RiotClient_Outbound" dir="out" action="allow" program="C:\Riot Games\Riot Client\RiotClientServices .exe" enable="yes"
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="RiotVanguard_Inbound" dir="in" action="allow" program="C:\Program Files\Riot Vanguard\vgc .exe" enable="yes"
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="RiotVanguard_Outbound" dir="out" action="allow" program="C:\Program Files\Riot Vanguard\vgc .exe" enable="yes"
Open powershell as admin
and run one by one
Note: I have put a space in the path
C:\Program Files\Riot Vanguard\vgc .exe
vgc .exe
Make sure to remove that
it looks sus. But all its doing is adding the valorant / riot client / and vanguard to be allowed thought your firewall as inbound and outbound connections
Ok good night
:D
Okay will try thank you, goodnight
I am also having this issue. Been trying to fix this for nearly 3 hours.
I have reinstalled the game and vanguard, my drivers are up to date and I have tried every fix I can find online.
The client launches, I press play and the client closes for a few moments before opening to the play screen again. No errors.
Same breh
@_sirivan have you done it?
Also @domotre has been banned from the server
@saucywan I am having the same issue as the OP. What do you mean by remove "that"? I suppose I can attempt this fix after work tonight... I have tried everything I can think of and can find online
The space
Between the vgc and .exe
If I cannot open the game with firewall disabled, would your fix really do anything different?
You sure you disabled your firewall?
I did it from here. Its back on now since turning it off did not work for me
It should be the same thing, yeah
But open your own post :)
I have
We have the same issue
@_sirivan you still dealing with this?
I submitted a ticket to riot support last night at 10:50 EST. Just waiting on a response
Yea I am
@_sirivan Any luck getting this fixed yet? I have yet to get a response on the ticket I submitted and these threads are no help...
No luck Bruh, haven't opened valorant in a week. I try everyday but no use
Do you by any chance happen to have the citrix workspace app installed on your PC?
What the heck
Yes I do
For school
Lol how you know @IAmLurr
Bruh I deleted it and it worked!!
@IAmLurr you amazing guy
@_sirivan because I use that for work and I had a huge feeling it was the culprit
Glad I was able to help you
Ohhh
@_sirivan do you run your Valorant in full screen or windowed fullscreen? If you dont mind checking please
yall still having the problem?
Ive been having the problem since last month. Totally forgot sbout it until I tried logging back on today
I am. But I believe the fix is to uninstall citrix workspace which I am unwilling to do right now.
@hxiao64 do you have citrix workspace app installed?
I resolved my issue with a clean boot. I have a big feeling that this issue stems from the app protection service citrix has. I will know more after restarting my PC later tonight. For now I just want to enjoy some Val after a week of dealing with this lol
This sucks as I wonder if this service being disabled would have resolved my Corsair K70 keyboard working... I bought that and found a lot of keys did not work due to citrix. Had to return it sadly
Ohhh
Sorry for the late reply, yes I Don
Do*
FULL SCREEN OR WINDOWED FULLSCREEN
π€£π€£
Would you like x or y?
Yes
Alright so I can confirm that citrix workspace was the issue here.
You can either delete it or if you are like me and need it on your PC, you can go into msconfig and disable the "AppProtection Service" then restart your PC when citrix does not need to be in use
