Initial testing:
DCS 2.9 Beta
MISC Tab - Force Feedback - Checked
Special Tab - F-14 - Use FFB trim implementation - NOT checked
Controls Tab - F-14 - Pilot - FFB device (VPForce Rhino FFB) - FF Tune - Timmer Force =100, Shake = 0
VPForce FFB Configurator - Settings - Spring = 0
VPForce FFB Configurator - Effects - Spring = NOT checked
TelemFFB = all default
With the above settings I can fly and generally set the Auto Pilot Alt Hold on a 'trimmed' bird.

Note: Special - F-14 - Use FFB trim implementation - checked - is NOT working for me yet, still troubleshooting.
F-14 - Auto Pilot Alt Hold NOT working for me at this time.
Addition testing:
DCS 2.9 Beta
MISC Tab - Force Feedback - Checked
Special - F-14 - Use FFB trim implementation - checked
TelemFFB On or Off
If you are having issues with F14 Auto Pilot Alt Hold, recommend you UNCHECK - DCS->Special->F14->Use FFB trim implementation until we find someone with a VPForce Rhino with it working that can share their config or a future patch is released by ED.
Everyone with this issue should raise a bug with heatblur tbh. There’s only a couple of (quite old) threads on their discord about ffb acls/trim issues
FYI: HB is aware of the issue
Update: To use Auto Pilot Alt Hold + Special-F14-Use FFB Trim Implementation - You must set your Pitch&Roll Curves in DCS to 0. This only fixes the Auto Pilot Alt Hold issue; Case 3 Auto pilot is still challenged.
Cool. I fly my case iii's manually anyway so that works
Even with curves set to 0 in DCS, alt hold is pretty broken if I attempt any heading change. Enters a runaway state pretty quickly.
I cant hold the right AOA while using CASE 3 autopilot.why? still a bug?
