FABRIK (Inverse kinematics)
In this video we go over the idea behind a basic IK system using the FABRIK algorithm. If you're interested in learning more the wiki page I wrote has a lot of information that was not covered in this video.

another cool interaction model i saw was in I Fetch Rocks where they have a Reality Joystick module you can use, where if you grab the joystick it stretches to follow your hand and you can use the stick on your controller as the joystick

in terms of inspiration, at the time I was thinking a lot about inventory systems. we were researching hand tracking based locomotion, and so I was ideating around how you elegantly bring objects along with you, and how to best take advantage of the spatial freedom that XR provides when doing so 🙂
