Is there a reason 2 pairs of the same jeans from the same brand would fit differently?
I have 2 pair of Lee Extreme Motion Athletic Taper jeans and one pairs lower legs feel much more snug/tapered than the other pair. One pair feels like a tapered leg and the other feels a bit more like a straight fit. Is this normal?

Quality control
Fabric is cut in stacks of 10-20-30 pairs at the same time. Cutting through that many layers of fabric causes differences in cut location at every layer. There's whole fields of study on this kind of thing.
A lot of the big players who gained brand recognition 30-50 years ago have set aside quality for quantity
I really hate that. I loved my first pair. They're tapered just the way I like them but really flexible in the seat and thighs. The second pair are just a little bigger in the lower legs. Which bugs me.
You can always try a bunch of pairs to find one that fits to your liking or you're looking at paying higher prices for small batch productions where QC is a higher priority
I also ordered these on amazon (they were on sale and I had a gift card from the holidays) So I didn't have the chance to try them on in store.
As a rule of thumb I generally don't buy pants without trying on before. Fit can be so finnicky
I learned my lesson here. Sometimes I can't turn down a sale though lol
It's a skill learned throughout time
