Allowlist for PFIs

Cheers to keeping with the times, @chrisgiglio! Inclusivity, including the language we use, is a principal pillar of the open source program. https://developer.tbd.website/open-source

@plew | TBD ^ My opinion: "allowlist" is a commonly-understood term in this context, pivoting to something else to accommodate the permissionless nature of the protocol would be confusing. Curious what others think.

TBH I'm not sure what the allowlist is for in tbDEX. 🙂 "wallets have a choice of which PFIs"?

Yeah in that case it makes sense to me - tbDEX is permissionless, some wallets may choose which PFIs they'll support.

Definitely defering to those with closer domain experience here.

Yep that’s consistent to me @chrisgiglio - a pessimistic policy with allowlisting

For “permissionless” I’m more clear - tbDEX from the beginning as a protocol does not have an authority determining who does or does not participate. Wallets and PFIs are free to make this distinction as you say 🙂
