NAVY SUIT COMBINATION YAH OR NAH
so im thinking of going for a floral necktie with some brown oxfords with my 3 piece navy suit for my prom, should I go ahead or nah?

The tie is gonna be personal preference tbh the floral would look fine but i wouldn’t personally go with it. If the floral print makes you happy i say go for it. With a navy suit i would personally do brow belt and derbies but black will look fine too

Navy is a pretty easy color to pair with a classic combo is maroon. I have a nice powder blue pattern tie i normally pair with my navy suit.
Like i said though its prom, nothing wrong with doing a fun tie, floral is just a little dated these days.

If you were to ask me how I would dress a navy suit, it would be brown, burgundy, or black shoes (derbies or oxfords - I prefer oxfords), either in calf or shell cordovan, with a matching belt (easy for black, harder for other colors unless you buy from the same manufacturer). For a tie I'd pick something on the more casual side, but whether it's louder and partier or more subtle would depend on my mood. Standard white dress shirt, and a pocket square would be nice.
The question I would really ask is: What do you already own? I don't want to tell you to go out and spend money.

these are the ones i currently have, im thinking of going for the striped one with a complementing pocket square
my dad has a solid navy and a few paisley ties but dont think theyd go with my outfit
