The
How heavy is it the whole bazzite-deck-gnome OS? It's been stuck in deployment starting for a while now (wired connection)

The ISO doesn't contain the image that gets deployed. It usually takes a bit. The image itself is big. I can't recall what it is exactly off the top of my head but I know the Ublue base image is 4.6gb
define "a while"
at least 40 minutes. My download speed on my laptop is 30Mbps which is very bad but I think it's cause I'm downloading the image on the desktop. Usually it takes 1hour to download 9 gb if i'm not mistaken
@EyeCantCU like, I downloaded verdun on steam (4gb) in 7 minutes while i'm downloading bazzite. I think there is something wrong here
You might want to try installing Fedora Silverblue first and then rebasing
Unfortunately there are quirks with the installer
is there a guide on how to do that? I never used fedora before
I'll link you up
Fedora Silverblue
We're so glad you've decided to give Fedora Silverblue a try. We know you'll love it.
After it's been installed, rebase like so:
rpm-ostree rebase ostree-signed-image:docker://ghcr.io/ublue-os/bazzite-deck-gnome:latest
Yeah, thank you! They should add a progress bar for rpm-ostree it was a pain to get it to work… at this point i’m@not even sure it wasn’t working the first time [with the bazzite installer].
I will run this command later. As an aside, I connected my PS5 controller is it possible to make it put the pc out of sleep mode by pressing the PlayStation logo on it?
It doesn’t work, says there is no ref spec to that
Ope sorry. Should be:
rpm-ostree rebase ostree-image-signed:docker://ghcr.io/ublue-os/bazzite-deck-gnome:latest
Unsure about that one
Looked into it a bit more. It's not possible to do so. Some people have had success with other controllers using a USB dongle though
