Casual bag for holiday day trips?
I'm doing a week long trip to Italy this Summer for a friends wedding, but plan to do some day trips in Rome, Napoli, and Palermo. It's going to be hot, so I'll likely be wearing t shirt/linen shirt, and shorts/linen trousers. I don't really want to wear a backpack to carry my day stuff (bottle of water, snacks, diabetes equipment), partly because it will make me sweat, but also because it doesn't suit the aesthetic/isn't at all stylish. But I was wondering what would be a good substitute? I think you are on the right track. I have something similar but a little smaller that I love for travel. It holds wallet, phone, keys, and a few other things as needed.
What you are looking for is a purse, but men are silly and insist on a different name, like "satchel" or "cross body bag"
Mine is synthetic, from Herschel. It looks OK, but canvas or leather would probably be nicer.
Do you need any protection or insulation for diabetes stuff? Might affect your choice.
