SDDM not appearing after rebasing
Just changed from Gnome to KDE on my desktop. On boot, I just get a black screen with no interactivity. I can access tty terminals, so something is working. How do I push forward to gain access to the DE?

Note: I did the same transition on my Deck without an issue but SDDM isn’t a factor there
I also tried latest and testing with the same results.
I can delete anything in my home folder if it will reset with default behaviors as well
See if SDDM's service is enabled
It does look like it’s enabled and running
I'm closing this post as moot. I ended up reformatting and reinstalling entirely
So apparently it was because of this issue with fish: https://discord.com/channels/1072614816579063828/1185332802040909986
The issue cropped up on my fresh install, so I tracked this down
Ahh I forgot you use fish sorry
That may be fixed on testing, if it's not I'll happily help get it fixed permanently
Took a lot of edits to make it never use fish
For now, I just used
lchsh
to go back to bash. I only have so much time to investigate when school is on break
