Help with wireframe conception
Question, I’m still going through the Google UX course but I’m struggling to to understand how people can come up with solid layouts for the different types of app/web web pages they think up almost immediately. For instance, I’m watching this 30min Figma design challenge and as soon as she thinks of the app she wants, she starts wireframing how she wants it to look. I understand knowing some of the elements I want to include, but it seems like people have everything thought up when they start designing and wireframing. Am I taking an inefficient approach when wireframing, or is it just an experience thing? It’s probably a silly problem to solve but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wireframe is just the initial layout skeleton, doesn’t have to be the final form. So yes, experience with layouts contributes, there’s only so many layouts that are common. It’s all about picturing everything as a box and how you use content and smaller boxes to break up that box. Pay attention to website layouts that you visit and do some research into “website layouts” to learn
How satisfied are you with the google UX course? I am considering it and would love to know what your experience has been, has it been beneficial or do you think it was a waste of time?
i had a lot of the knowledge beforehand and had hoped to learn something new, which i did, but not enough in my opinion for the amount of time + expense it took. If youre brand new to UX though, im sure it will be helpful!
What I would suggest is trying to sketch using pen and paper what comes to your mind. Since you are familiar with the elements you want on the page you can draw them first and then try placing them where you seem fit. Once you get that done, you can move the elements around and find the best way possible according to the problem or layout you are trying to accomplish.
